Sea Turtle Festival

Since 2003, Proyecto Caguama (proCAGUAMA) organizes an annual festival in López Mateos: the Sea Turtle Festival. The objective of this event is to make the attendants aware of the importance of loggerhead conservation. This festival is a great opportunity to inform locals about the presence of loggerhead turtles in their region, as well as about the threats they have to face daily. Therefore, between artistic shows, mechanical rides, delicious Mexican food and a lot of fun, thousands of people from all over Baja California Sur and beyond hear proCAGUAMA’s conservation message.
