The Grupo Tortuguero has become a model for the community-based conservation of sea turtle populations worldwide, and we want to share our experiences with other conservation efforts, communities and regions. In order to accomplish this we are drafting a document that articulates the model and presents it as a tool for others to use. We will present our first version of the model at the 2005 International Sea Turtle Symposium, and follow up with journal articles in publications such as the California Academy of Sciences' California Wild and others.
