One of the main challenges in the field of marine conservation is the progression from field research to knowledge to the modification of detrimental behaviors. Recognizing this, a comprehensive communication and outreach plan remains a major part of our sea turtle recovery strategy. It is our goal to share our findings, successes and challenges widely with the goals of defining policy and modifying behaviors that directly threaten Pacific sea turtles and inhibit their recovery. We share our knowledge through a variety of media, including posters, guides, comic books, TV, magazines, and the web, and through direct environmental education and outreach.
